Man critically injured in DeKalb shooting

A man was critically injured in a shooting in DeKalb County on Tuesday moing. The shooter is on the loose.

Channel 2’s Manuel Bojorquez went to an apartment complex on Tregoney Drive, where DeKalb County police were investigating. Officers said residents were startled by a commotion outside a lower-level unit around 9 a.m.

Police said an argument between two people spilled into the parking lot and escalated into gunfire. When authorities arrived, the victim, who was shot several times, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The shooter took off, and police have not released a description.

Officers swarmed the parking lot, cordoning off a large part of the area. Several people were interviewed in and out of police cruisers, but none would publicly speak about what took place.

Police wrapped up the crime scene investigation shortly before noon.
