Lindsey Trimble: Married high school science teacher had sexual intercourse and oral sex with a 17-year-old student

A high school science teacher has been accused of having intercourse and oral sex with a 17-year-old student.

Clovis East High School teacher Lindsey Michelle Trimble, of Fresno, was arrested last Thursday and charged with having sex with a minor and oral copulation.

She resigned from her teaching job on the same day. The alleged sex happened between March and July of this year.

Trimble worked at Clovis Unified High school since August 2010. She will be arraigned next week on charges of having sex with a minor and oral copulation

She was a secondary teacher at the Reagan Educational Center, assigned to teach at Clovis East and Reybu Intermediate since August 2010.

It is believed the alleged sex took place at various homes in Fresno County but this has not been confirmed by police. Trimble is married.

According to The Fresno Bee, a school district employee told administrators who immediately notified police.

The alleged victim is now 18.

No other details are available at this time.

Trimble is free after posting $55,000 bail. She makes her first appearance in Fresno County Superior Court on December 20 for arraignment.

Parents were upset and angry at the school that they were not told sooner.

One parent told Fox26 she had been kept in the dark for a week: 'I didn't know it was five days after the arrest. I just barely got the phone call this moing.

'Actually, my daughter found out last night. So we didn't even know. It's something that should've been told right away, not something they waited on.'
