Two Florida Sisters Found Safe in Georgia After Alleged Online-Linked Abduction

Two sisters from Martin County, Florida, who were reported missing after leaving with a man they’d been communicating with online have been found safe in Georgia, authorities say.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said the girls, ages 12 and 15, had been talking with 19-year-old Hser Mu Lah Say of Omaha, Nebraska. Their interaction began in mid-2025 on the gaming platform Roblox and continued through Snapchat. Investigators believe Say sent unexpected gifts  such as food deliveries to the family’s home  as part of a grooming process before the girls disappeared.

Say reportedly drove nearly 24 hours from Nebraska to Indiantown, Florida. On Saturday, the sisters briefly met him at a local park but were intercepted by family members and had their phones taken away as punishment. Later that night, however, they used the household tablet to reconnect with Say and left with him, prompting their parents to report them missing.

Law enforcement tracked Say’s vehicle into Georgia, where the Georgia State Patrol located and stopped it early Sunday morning. Both girls were inside and appeared physically unharmed. Say was arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping and two counts of interference with child custody in Florida and is being held without bond.

Officials have emphasized the importance of online safety for children and monitoring communications that move from gaming apps to private messaging services.
