- A woman was killed on Interstate 475 in Macon early Friday moing after she was hit by a tractor trailer. 

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the accident happened near the Eisenhower Parkway on-ramp just after 1 a.m. Judith Stacy was in the car with her family when her husband Phillip Stacy, 50, lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail.

Deputies said that's when Judith Stacy and her 17 and 21 year old daughters got out of the vehicle and ran toward the shoulder of the road.

It was during that time that Judith Stacy was struck by a tractor trailer driven by 31-year-old Karamjeet Singh.

No other injuries were reported and the incident is still being investigated.
