Deputies say Jason Alexander Young, 34, acted without caution even though he was well aware of the consequences of sleeping with local women and not telling them he was HIV positive.

”That's sick, Marco Holt told reporters. "I have a daughter, I have a wife. Why was he ever let out of prison in the first place?"

Records show that Young, who was booked into Douglas County Jail on Friday, has served prison time for reckless conduct in the past, serving 16 months in South Carolina for exposing others to HIV.

"It takes a sick person to get someone infected and know that they're infected and not tell anyone else about that," said Marty-Joe Baes

"Someone who doesn't care about other people, has no remorse over their health or their life," said Gandhi Jordan.

Douglas County deputies say they have Young on seven counts of reckless conduct for not alerting his partners to his HIV status.

So far they've identified one victim but they believe there could be others out there.

They say Young approached women through various social media outlets.

”It's scary because young women are out there being exposed to something they don't know, said Vonda Ferguson. ”Then they end up with the virus then the rest of their life is ruined.

Records show Young was released in March 2013 for his previous case.

He is being held without bond in the Douglas County Jail.

If you’ve had contact with Young, investigators are asking you to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
