Two metro Atlanta teenagers were killed Monday afteoon when they were ejected from a Jeep in Hall County.

Brandon Hodges, 14, of Lawrenceville, and Christian Walker, 16, of Cumming, both died in the single-vehicle wreck, which remains under investigation, Lt. Paul Cosper with the Georgia State Patrol told the AJC.

Hodges and Walker were among five people traveling in a 1993 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 19-year-old Tony James Delong Jr. of Gainesville, Cosper said. For reasons unknown, the Jeep left the dirt road at a curve, struck an embankment and overtued several times around 2 p.m. Monday.

Delong and two other teens were injured in the crash, which happened on Whelchel Mill Road, near Cool Springs Road, northwest of Gainesville. The injured teens were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigators will re-construct the crash to determine what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, Cosper said.
