A man accused of killing three people in Georgia has been arrested in Portsmouth.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 32-year-old Brian Leve Gupton was arrested late Thursday.

Gupton is accused of shooting two men and a woman at an apartment complex in DeKalb County, Ga., in November. Authorities say he thought the three stole money from him during a drug deal.

Authorities saw Gupton getting into a vehicle in the London section of the city around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. When police tried to stop the vehicle, Gupton ran and hid under another vehicle but he was located and arrested.

It was not immediately clear if Gupton had an attoey. An arraignment was continued until April 5.
