GBI: 20-Year-Old Man Arrested in Jorelys Rivera Murder Case

Authorities say they have made an arrest in the brutal slaying of 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera. During a press conference on Wednesday afteoon, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Veon Keenan said Ryan Brunn, a 20-year-old maintenance worker from the apartment complex where Jorelys lived, is charged with murder.

Brunn was arrested at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, and he was taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center.  Keenan said his arrest was based on information received from the public. They would not discuss specifics.  According to authorities, there are no other suspects in the case.

GBI Director Veon Keenan said that 20-year-old Ryan Brunn was been charged with murder in connection with the death of 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera, Wednesday, December 7.
