Former Youth Pastor Nathan Donald Moore Charged With Child Molestation

A former Fayette county youth paster Nathan Donald Moore has been charged with child molestation. 24 year old Moore is accused of having sexual relationship with a teen boy. The fayette County police charged Moore with six counts of child molestation, six counts of aggrevated child molestation and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Moore was formerly a youth pastor at Heritage Christian Church in Fayette County. The sheriff's office would not say if Moore knew the victim from the church, but said the church had been cooperative in the investigation.

The senior pastor at the church said that Moore had been fired several months ago for reasons unconnected to the charges.

"Nathan is not on our staff. He is a former youth minister whom we terminated several months ago for refusing to follow the lead and direction of the senior pastors and elders. At no time was it known that he was engaged in any activity as described in these charges," Heritage Christian Church said in a statement.
