Former diplomat Michael Ford from Alpharetta sentenced to nearly 5 years in sextortion case
An Alpharetta man was sentenced to four years in prison for cyberstalking and ”sextorting young women.
Former U.S. State Department employee Michael Ford was convicted of hacking into other networks to steal naked pictures of college students.
Authorities said he then used those photos to blackmail the women.
Investigators said he did this using his govement issued computer while working at the U.S. Embassy in London.
Ford was arrested at Hartsfield Jackson Inteational Airport in May 2015.
He pleaded guilty to cyberstalking, hacking, and wire fraud.
