Five arrested after high school football game fracas

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Five people were arrested after a fight that broke out at Savannah's Memorial Stadium after a high school football game.

The Savannah Moing News reported that the suspects include a 17-year-old who was shocked by a Taser used by a Chatham County sheriff's deputy when the fight erupted Saturday night.

Savannah-Chatham police say the fight happened at about 7:30 p.m. in a crowd of more than 100 people after the game between Jenkins High School and Johnson High School.

They say three adults and two juveniles were arrested for throwing punches in a tight crowd.

Police say an off-duty deputy used a Taser to stun 17-year-old Antonio Kirkland after the men refused to stop fighting. Another officer used pepper spray on an adult who was fighting.
