Fire hits Tyler Perry's studio again
A fire broke out on the roof Tyler Perry studios in southwest Atlanta on Monday.

Atlanta firefighters are investigating a fire that broke out at Tyler Perry Studios in southwest Atlanta on Monday.

The fire broke out on the roof of the studio on Continental Colony Parkway just before 11 a.m. News Chopper 2 flew over the roof around 11:30 a.m. as firefighters put out hot spots.

The Atlanta Fire Department said firefighters arrived within five minutes. The building was undergoing roof repairs when the fire broke out, the Fire Department said.

It was the second fire at the studio in recent months. In May, a massive fire severely damaged a four-story sound stage.

The structural integrity of the building damaged in Monday's fire was not compromised, the Fire Department said.

The multimillion-dollar facility sits on 30 acres. The studio opened in October 2008.
