DOTHAN, Ala. -- A former employee at a school in Dothan has been sentenced to 18 years in jail after he was accused of attempted sodomy and enticing a child.

The Dothan Eagle reports that 37-year-old Keaton Battle of Donalsonville, Ga., was sentenced to nine years on charges of enticing a child for immoral purposes and attempted second-degree sodomy. He got an additional nine years after being convicted of enticing a child.

Battle was found guilty of the charges last month.

Battle's lawyer Eric Davis said his client plans to appeal.

The newspaper reports that the offenses against two 15-year-old boys happened in May and June of 2007 when Battle was an in-school suspension aide at PASS Academy, an alteative school in Dothan.
