Ex-Cop Quevius Thornton Reindicted On Sex Charges With Minor
Quevius Thornton, 29, was arrested and placed on administrative leave.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A DeKalb County grand jury has handed a 16-count indictment to a former county police officer.

Quevius Thoton faces numerous charges of statutory rape and child molestation, among others. According to the indictment, he became sexually involved with a minor beginning in October.

Thoton is accused of having sex with the girl at his house, in the parking lot of two different DeKalb County elementary schools and at Shoal Creek Park.

On the same day as an alleged meet-up at Panola Way Elementary School in December, Thoton also slapped the girl, according to the document. He faces one count of simple battery.

In addition, Thoton faces one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of marijuana. The document said he helped the girl get the drugs.
