Elections Council Named to Look at Georgia Voting

ATLANTA - Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp has formed a bipartisan elections advisory council to make recommendations on how to improve voting in Georgia.

Kemp says the 16-member council will review Georgia's election code with an eye toward cost-saving improvements.

The council is comprised of elected officials as well as representatives from the state Republican and Democratic parties. Several local elections officials are also on the panel.

It will conduct meetings throughout the state next year to receive public input.
