Elderly Man James Yarborough's Death Ruled Homicide
Investigators say an autopsy done Thursday proved that the death of an elderly Polk County man was a homicide. Police found 77-year-old James Yarborough’s body inside his home on Wednesday night.
The GBI says they’re investigating the man’s death along with the Polk County Police Department. Yarborough was found in his home on Morgan Valley Road in Rockmart around 10 p.m. He lived alone, authorities say.
Neighbors told reporters that Yarborough had lived in the house as long as they could remember. They said they are conceed and frightened because they don’t know how or why he died.
Authorities have not released Yarborough’s cause of death.
