DUNWOODY, Ga. - Dunwoody police are searching for a suspect Thursday wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man near Dunwoody Prep Preschool on Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

Investigators said Russell Sneiderman was shot after he dropped his young son off at daycare Thursday moing.

Sneiderman was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say the suspect in a silver minivan pulled into the parking lot around 9 a.m., then pulled up next to Sniederman's four-door Infiniti and shot him inside his car. Witnesses say several shots were fired.

The suspect in the shooting is a white male with a beard, said to be in his 30s, and driving a silver Dodge minivan with no tag. The vehicle was last seen heading west on Mt. Veon.

Police said no children or staff at the daycare facility were involved or witnessed the event.

Police did not say what prompted the shooting.

Police say the preschool security cameras may have caught the the crime on video tape and will be examining it.
