DULUTH, Ga. - Gwinnett County firefighters believe a fire in a fireplace ignited a blaze that bued through a home in Duluth early Monday moing.

Firefighters say heavy flames were shooting from the home in the 3400 hundred block of Courtenay Court when they got there at around 2 a.m.

Crews put out the fire in about 30 minutes.

There was extensive damage inside the house and in the attic.

Firefighters had to endure bitter cold and whipping winds while they worked to douse the flames.

No injuries were reported.
