DUI driver Karen Smith Morton crashes car with 6-year-old child inside
Karen Morton was charged with DUI and Child Endangerment after police say she caused a crash with her 6-year-old child inside.

Police say an Atlanta woman driving drunk with her 6-year-old child in the car caused a collision on Interstate 285.

Dunwoody police charged Karen Smith Morton with D.U.I. and Child Endangerment for Thursday night's crash.

They say Morton was westbound on Interstate 285 near Ashford-Dunwoody Road when her Infiniti drifted over a lane and hit an Acura MDX.

That car then ran into the barrier wall injuring two people.

Morton's car also hit the wall. Her daughter was not hurt.
