School officials in Paulding County say that classes will be in session as usual on Monday despite heavy damage to a portion of one elementary school.

Officials were out Saturday at Poole Elementary School surveying the extent of the damage. They said a total of six classrooms were damaged.

Despite the damage to the school on Wayside Lane, most of the structure is secure and they say they will be able to clean up the school in time so students can make it safely to class on Monday moing.

FOX 5 crews arrived shortly after the school was damaged by the storm on Friday night. They noted several windows were smashed and mobile classrooms tipped over from the high winds. Officials had to wait until Saturday moing to assess the full damage because of the lack of the power in the area.

The school is located on Wayside Lane which is one of the hardest hit areas from Friday's storm. Several homes surrounding the school also received damage. A church down the road had its steeple to from its place on top of structure.
