A tragic crash claimed the life of a Douglas County paramedic.

Paul Holmes -- 37-years-old -- died early Monday moing from injuries he suffered in a crash Saturday night.

Holmes and another paramedic were involved in a crash while heading to an emergency call.

Their ambulance collided with another vehicle around 11pm Saturday.

Paul Holmes is survived by his wife and 4-year-old daughter.

He was a member of Douglas County Fire-EMS since May 2008.
