A pair of cousins is accused of stealing cellphones, car keys and credit cards from patrons at a local water park.

Police said Amanda Young, 27, and Xavier Ransom, 18, kept going back to Six Flags Whitewater in Marietta to target patrons who carelessly left their valuables behind while they rode rides.

Police said they found plenty of victims, stealing items they'd sell and finding credit cards they'd quickly use before their victims even had a chance to dry off.

They would go on shopping sprees in areas where they could try a variety of stores as quickly as possible before the cards are cancelled.

A Walmart surveillance video caught the pair ringing up a large cart full of items. Young was seen on one video trying to swipe a card that didn't work, but soon successfully uses another.

Minutes later, they stroll out of the store smiling with a cart full of items they'd soon be selling.

Both Young and Ransom are facing serious charges, police said.

In the future, police advise amusement park patrons to buy a locker onsite or conceal valuables in their car trunks.
