College Park to Get 500 Seasonal Jobs

ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Labor's DeKalb Career Center and the DeKalb Workforce Development Agency will help Horizon Staffing recruit data entry clerks for more than 500 seasonal positions to begin in April in College Park. 

Two recruitment sessions will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 23-24, at the New Life Community Center, located at 3592 Flat Shoals Rd. in Decatur. Recruiting sessions each day will be held at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

The company will be hiring OPEX operators, mailroom clerks, and manual processors who are able to key at least 8,000 keystrokes per hour and have an error rate of three percent or less. The jobs are on either the first, second, or third shifts. 

Three forms of identification are required: U.S. Social Security card, drivers license or valid state identification card, and U.S. birth certificate or permanent residence card or certificate of naturalization. 

Company officials say they will not hire any applicants with criminal backgrounds.
