Cherokee County authorities are investigating an incident in which a man confessed to killing his mother.

It happened oveight on the first floor of an apartment building.

Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect called 911 and said he had killed his mother.

Michael Jacobs, 21, is in jail facing murder charges.

Baker said there have been three unrelated stabbings in recent days.
