CANTON, Ga. - Cherokee County's 911 Call Center is once again fully operational after experiencing a day long outage on Sunday.

Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department said the phones were down about half an hour Sunday moing after an electrical malfunction at the facility. He said officials quickly set up a command center outside the building to re-establish contact with fire and police stations.

Baker said all 911 calls from Cherokee County were routed to Cobb County until the phone lines were repaired.
