Two adults dead, four children injured in accident

Cobb County Police have released the name of a woman who was killed along with a man in an early moing accident that also left four children with serious injuries. The driver killed in the accident was identified a 27-year-old Katrina E. Morris of Powder Springs.

According to investigators, Morris was travelling west and Clay Road approaching Flint Hill Road in Mableton when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, colliding with a tree on the northe shoulder. Morris and her male passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

In a news release, police said that all 4 juveniles in the back seat of the SUV were seriously injured. Medics rushed the four children to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
