Bicyclist Joseph Gathambiri hit and killed in Cobb County
Authorities are investigating a deadly wreck in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta that claimed the life of a bicyclist.
Marietta police say the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday on South Marietta Parkway, near the Cobb Community Transit bus depot.
The Atlanta Joual-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/153ilke) that South Marietta Parkway was shut down in both directions between Lake Drive and Aviation Road while police investigated the incident.
The identity of the bicyclist has not been released.
Marietta is about 15 miles northwest of Atlanta.
