Atlanta police say a bank teller stole more than $10,000 from a 90-year-old Buckhead woman's account.

According to authorities, Wells Fargo bank teller Daniel Araujo became friendly with Mary Massey. At the time, Massey said that she thought he was just being helpful.

"He came out walked me in. When I got ready to leave, he always walked me back," Massey said. "Every time I went in there, he wanted me to sign a paper or something."

Police say those signatures were on cash withdrawal slips that Araujo allegedly used to take money from Massey's bank account.

One check alone was for more than $10,000. Police believe Araujo had been stealing from Massey and others at the Buckhead bank for awhile. His accounts allegedly show more than $50,000 in recent deposits.

"It was bad. I tell you, I never have been done that way before. I worked all my life and tried to save my money because I knew when I got older, I couldn't work," Massey said.

Araujo has been freed on $30,000 bond, according to Fulton County jail records,

A Wells Fargo spokesperson said, "We're cooperating with police and we regret that this happened.  There will be no loss to our customer as a result of this."

Police believe there are more unsuspecting victims. Anyone with information is asked to call to the Atlanta Police Department.
