Kealy Williams

ATLANTA - A 26-year-old man who killed a visitor from Ohio who was in Atlanta for his father's funeral was sentenced to life in prison.

Kealy Williams pleaded guilty on Monday in Fulton County to charges of murder, hijacking a motor vehicle and other offenses in the 2008 killing of 41-year old Terrence Harris.

Harris, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, had taken his father's car to Golden Shine Car Wash in Fairbu. Family members say Harris had planned for the car to be used in the funeral procession.

Prosecutors say Williams approached the car while it was being washed and shot Harris, pushed him out of the car and drove away. Harris died that day at Atlanta Medical Center.

Williams tued himself in the following day.
