A woman’s boyfriend was charged with murder after she died from a gunshot wound.

Atlanta police said they received a call that someone was shot in the 2000 block of Rhinehill Road around 9:15 p.m. on Friday.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound on her side. She later died.

Police said following an investigation, officers arrested the woman’s boyfriend, Edward Johnson, 18, and charged him with murder.
