Atlanta Police say they’ve made an arrest in the 2006 death of a woman who was found dead in an abandoned home.

On December 18, 2006, Sholanda Searbrum was found hanging in the closet of an abandoned house at on Booker T. Washington Street. An investigation revealed she had been strangled and hung afterwards.

The case remained unsolved, but in late 2009 or early 2010, detectives received a match on DNA that was recovered from the scene. They say the DNA found there matched that of 47-year-old Kelvin Robinson, who had been listed in the initial investigation.

On Tuesday, Atlanta Police arrested Robinson and he was formally charged with murder. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail where he remains in custody.
