Arkansas says student-teacher sex is A-OK if timing is right

Is sex between a teacher and a student OK?

As if high school didn't have enough relationship drama going on, the Arkansas Supreme Court has made it legal for students above the age of consent to have sex with their own teachers.

The court dismissed a conviction that would have put a 38-year-old teacher in prison for 30 years for having an affair with a female student.

The history/psychology teacher had taught the girl in both 10th and 11th grade, but they didn't start their affair until she was 18, which, according to the court, is their Constitutional right.

Until now, Arkansas teachers were barred from sexual relationships with students under the age of 21, and almost half of states nationwide have similar bans on, shall we say "teacher's pets."
