An Alpharetta mother and her friend were arrested last week after taking heroin and crashing a minivan with two children inside.

Mondor and her friend, Autumn Miller, were found unconscious and unresponsive, but both children were alert, conscious and buckled properly in the car.

Police located heroin on the center console, along with two hypodermic needles and a spoon with suspected heroin residue, according to police.

Mondor and Miller both admitted to taking the heroin. The two were taken to North Fulton Hospital after the wreck on November 11.

Mondor has been charged with DUI, two counts of child endangerment, reckless conduct, drug possession, possession and use of drug-related objects and failure to maintain lane.

Miller has been charged with drug possession and possession and use of drug-related objects.
