Woodstock Police Arrest 18-Year-Old in Deadly Riverstock Apartments Shooting
WOODSTOCK, Ga. — The Woodstock Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a deadly shooting last month at the Riverstock Apartments.
Police say Prince Phillip Rolle, 18, of Locust Grove, is charged with malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault in the death of Matthew Milner, 18.
Officers responded to the Riverstock Apartment complex just after 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 following reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Milner suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police and Woodstock firefighters performed lifesaving measures before paramedics transported Milner to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives launched a homicide investigation with assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cobb County Police Department.
Investigators identified a vehicle connected to the shooting, which led them to Rolle. Arrest warrants were obtained charging him with malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault.
Rolle was later taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department during an unrelated encounter. He has since been transported to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, where he remains in custody.
“I am proud of the great investigative work done by the Woodstock Police officers,” said Woodstock Police Chief Roland Castro. “We are very grateful for the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and it is my sincere hope that the Milner family finds a measure of closure through this arrest.”
The investigation remains active. Authorities say there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community.
