Woodstock Officer Kenyatta Hillman, Arrested on Battery Charges

The Cherokee County's Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a Woodstock police officer after responding to a domestic dispute.

The sheriff's office responded to the domestic dispute at the request of the Woodstock Police Department.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Love Lane in Woodstock Tuesday moing. Kenyatta Hillman, 31-years old of Woodstock, was arrested for Battery and Obstruction of a 911 Call. Hillman is a Woodstock police officer, say authorities.

Authorities say Hillman and his wife, Zully Hillman, 23-years old of Woodstock, were involved in an altercation that resulted in Hillman's wife receiving minor injuries to her elbow and neck.

Officer Hillman was transported to the Cherokee Adult Detention Center and was later released on a $100.00 bond.

The Woodstock Police Department has placed Officer Hillman on administrative leave with pay and is conducting an inteal investigation. The incident remains under investigation by Cherokee County Sheriff's Office detectives, say authorities.
