Woman Killed in Apartment; Shot Fired from Outside
ATLANTA - Police say an Atlanta woman was killed in her apartment when someone outside fired a bullet during a robbery.
It happened Friday afteoon in southwest Atlanta. Homicide unit commander Lt. Paul Guerrucci said detectives don’t know yet if the woman was targeted or was hit by a stray bullet fired from the parking lot.
He said the shot was fired after the robbery ”escalated into a shooting. He said the woman died at the scene.
The woman’s name was not available. Police said her family had not yet been notified.
