Woman Kidnapped from Gwinnett Co. Home
Authorities in Gwinnett County are still trying to piece together a bizarre serious of events that include kidnapping and assault. It all happened Friday in a subdivision near Lawrenceville.
A woman, who just closed on the home on Lester Road in Gwinnett County, said it was the location of a disturbing crime moments before moving in.
Police said two men kidnapped another woman from a home down the street and assaulted her inside the newly purchased home.
The crime was discovered by the realtors coming to pick up the lock box and keys.
"The realtors, who were in charge of the home, came to check on the home and interrupted the kidnapping. A small fight ensued before the suspects fled the scene," said Gwinnett County Police Corp. David Schiralli.
The owner of the home said she had just closed on the property minutes before the crime happened. When she arrived at her home, police had it surrounded.
A neighbor heard screaming from the home and called 911.
According to police, it all started when the kidnapping victim walked into her home during a burglary.
Officials said all three victims' injuries were not life threatening.
Police said they are still looking for the two men responsible for the kindapping and assaults.
