WATCH: Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell is getting snappy

A video from the Senate wannabe's live interview with a Delaware radio station shows her snapping her fingers to beckon an aide during a testy exchange with the host.

Outraged, O'Donnell's campaign manager, Matt Moran, threatened to sue and "crush" the station if they didn't tu over the video, WDEL-AM told The Associated Press.

Around the midway point of the 19 minute clip, host Rick Jensen presses O'Donnell on how she would reduce New Castle County's budget deficit, where her opponent, Democrat Chris Coons, is county executive.

Several times O'Donnell ignores Jensen's question to list Coons' faults.

"What would you cut?" Jensen asked.

"I don't have the budget in front of me," O'Donnell shot back. "And nor should I because I'm not running for county executive, I'm running for U.S. Senate."

A few seconds later, she snaps her fingers and an unidentified aide comes to her side. When Jensen persists with his questioning, O'Donnell taps the aide's elbow and gestures at him.

Doug Sachtleben, an O'Donnell spokesman who was in the studio, said the lawsuit threat was "more of an issue of whether or not they were forthright with us."

The station's general manager, Michael Reath, said the O'Donnell campaign accused Jensen of "grandstanding" and of trying to create a story "to gaer ratings."

On Wednesday, an attoey with the campaign apologized to the station saying there was no legal issue with the video.

In recent polls, O'Donnell trails Coons by at least 11 points.

The rising Tea Party star upset Rep. Mike Castle in the GOP primary in part because of Sarah Palin's endorsement.

Since winning, however, O'Donnell has been the target of comedians and late-night TV hosts for comments she made in the 1990s about dabbling in witchcraft and comparing masturbation to adultery.
