Watch: Man is horrifically attacked and insulted by his parents after coming out as gay

Horrific footage has surfaced of a young man being insulted and attacked by his family for coming out as gay to them.

The man, known only as Daniel, was secretly filmed by his boyfriend during a family intervention that tued out to be an excuse to confront him about their belief that he was gay.

Daniel’s family repeatedly tell him being gay is a ‘choice’, and subject him to numerous homophobic slurs – including being called ‘queer’ and saying he has a ‘habit’.

Despite Daniel explaining to his family that being gay is biologically natural, they refuse to listen to him and tell him he must leave the house as they don’t wont people to believe they ‘condone what you do’.

One family member even tells him: ‘I believe in the word of God, and God creates nobody that way – it is a path you have chosen to chose.’

The confrontation gets more heated until Daniel’s mother and father attack him violently.

Daniel, who is believed to be 19-years-old and from Georgia in the US, has been kicked out of his family house and disowned by his family.

After the video was uploaded to Reddit a gofundme page has been set up to support Daniel while he finds a new home, which has already raised more than $4,000.

Daniel wrote on the page: ‘I am in tears! I didn’t realise that this was even set up for me! I am so thankful for all the comments, support and donations! I don’t even know how to thank y’all!’
