University of Georgia student Min Seok Cho shot to death off-campus

Police in Athens are investigating the shooting death of a University of Georgia student who was killed off-campus.

Athens-Clarke County police say they began their investigation Tuesday, after someone drove 21-year-old Min Seok Cho to Athens Regional Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. He died at the hospital.

Police say their preliminary investigation found that Cho had met the suspected shooter to exchange marijuana.

An autopsy on his body has been scheduled at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.

CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.
