UGA student Brandyn Clark charged with vandalizing nearly a dozen cars

Police say a man went around an Athens apartment complex smashing several red cars after he got into a car crash. The incident played out near UGA's campus.

Athens police say UGA student Brandyn Clark, 20, went on a rampage, damaging at least 11 cars inside the Standard Apartments parking garage.

Most of the cars are red, like Allie Dennis' Jeep Grand Cherokee.

"A headlight had been kicked in," Dennis said. "I don't really know him or know his motives exactly so I really had no reason to judge what he did, but it's obviously an inconvenience."

Police say at 2 a.m., Clark told officers his car was involved in a hit-and-run. Around 7 a.m., officers reconnected with Clark. They say he kicked cars, hit them and used a tool to punch holes.

Officers say Clark has bonded out of jail.
