- Two Forest Park police officers have been shot behind Forest Park Middle School in Clayton County.

The suspect, approximately 30-years-old, white man named Jacob Bailey, is now dead, a Forest Park Police spokesman said. It is currently not known how he died.

Both officers are now in stable condition and are conscious. One of the officers shot was transported to Grady Hospital and the other was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

The shooting has led Forest Park Middle School to be placed on a level one lockdown as a precaution. Clayton County Schools are asking people to refrain from any movement inside and outside of the campus.

The area has been contained as police remain on scene investigating.
