Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said a tree fell on top of a MARTA bus before 10:30 a.m. on Campbellton Road at Stanton Road.

GA Daily News is getting more details on how a large tree fell onto a MARTA bus in southwest Atlanta late Thursday moing.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said the incident happened before 10:30 a.m. on Campbellton Road at Stanton Road, according to an Atlanta Joual Constitution report.

Medical personnel were on the scene, but there were no immediate reports of serious injuries.

Jones said there were no entrapments on the bus.

Aerial shots from News Chopper 2 showed parts of the tree draped across the rear portion of the bus.
