A car was crushed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer early Tuesday.

The crash happened on Interstate 75 at Interstate 675 in Henry County. Channel 2’s Amanda Cook went to the scene, where northbound lanes of I-75 were blocked for nearly two hours.

The tractor-trailer struck the back of the car and jackknifed around 3:30 a.m. Police said the car was trying to merge in the tractor-trailer’s lane and caused the crash. Cook asked whether the driver of the car will be charged, but police said they were still investigating.

Two people in the car were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
