Tom Brady is an alien
Sports Illustrated for kids cover with Tom Brady as an alien

Or so speculates the January/February edition of Sports Illustrated for Kids. If true, this would actually explain a lot.

The Tom Brady who played at Michigan was merely above average-to-good, but the "Tom Brady" of the New England Patriots has been nothing short of spectacular. His career effectively started in 2002, during the Patriots' last season at old Foxboro Stadium, a year in which they won a surprise Super Bowl championship.

So follow our conspiracy theory: first, Alien Brady's spaceship crashed next to old park; next, Alien Brady inhabited backup quarterback Tom Brady and led the team to a title; and finally, the Patriots built their new stadium to hide the evidence. It's almost too perfect, and they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling SI for Kids.

What other athletes are obviously aliens?
