Super Bowl streaker displaying cryptic message taken down by New England Patriots star
A streaker interrupted Super Bowl LX during the fourth quarter by running onto the field with a cryptic message written on his body. The incident happened at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California with about 12 minutes left in the game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
The man, who was shirtless but wearing pants, had the words Trade with Athena on his back. He was chased by several security guards and by New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams before he was tackled close to the 10-yard line and taken off the field.
The streaker’s actions briefly paused the game. NBC did not show the event on the live broadcast but clips of the chase circulated on social media.
After the interruption, play resumed and the Seattle Seahawks went on to defeat the Patriots 29-13.
