FIFA Has Truly Lost Its Damn Mind With Insane Parking Fees

Honestly, I thought I’d seen it all with World Cup ticket prices, but this takes the absolute cake.

First, we’re expected to fork out hundreds, if not thousands, just to watch our team play. Fans around the world are already furious over ticket prices that range from affordable to laughably out of reach. 

But now FIFA organizers have apparently decided that tickets aren’t enough. Let’s gouge fans even more with parking. How does charging more for a parking pass than some people pay for entry even make sense? Upwards of $175 just to park your car, on top of travel and ticket costs? That’s daylight robbery.

This isn’t passionate fandom anymore, It’s corporate greed” A World Cup should celebrate the sport, not turn supporters into walking ATMs. Everywhere I look people are shaking their heads. What once was a dream to attend the biggest soccer tournament on Earth has turned into an expensive logistical nightmare.

So here’s my take as a fan who actually wants to be there, not just watch from home: if FIFA and the hosts think this will boost the tournament’s image, they’re dead wrong. You’re not making this accessible, you’re making it ridiculous.
