Toddler Struck By Car In Driveway Dies

VILLA RICA, Ga. -- A toddler died after being struck by a car in her driveway on Saturday moing, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

 

Anthony Evans, 20, was backing out of his driveway on Herrell Road in Villa Rica at about 11:30 a.m., Georgia State Patrol officials said. Evans thought his 22-month-old daughter was inside with his mother, but she wasn’t, the child’s aunt, Kayla Ross, said.

 

Georgia State Patrol officials said the child, Alyssa Evans, ran toward her father’s vehicle and he struck her. The child was taken to Tanner Medical Center, but doctors could not revive her.

 

Ross said the girl was the family’s only child.
