Third Person Sought in String of Crimes
Police have made a second arrest in connection to a recent string of crimes in Virginia Highland. Atlanta police say a second man is now in custody, this time in connection to a home invasion that took place in November.

ATLANTA - Atlanta police are looking for a third man Wednesday afteoon in connection with a rash of home invasions and armed robberies in Virginia Highland.

Two men have already been arrested, and police believe they may have been involved in the murder of Charles Boyer in November.

Atlanta police have made the home invasions and armed robberies and the murder a top priority.

Police are meeting with community members and are also trying to show a stronger presence in the community to convince residents that the city is safe.

Police believe that the two men already arrested may have worked with a third person to commit violent crimes in southeast Atlanta.

Major Keith Meadows says the trio may be connected to the murder of Virginia Highland resident Charles Boyer.

Police say they are slowly making progress.

Meadows says the person arrested Tuesday only faces charges in connection with a November 27 home invasion in Benteen Park. Police say the suspect is facing three counts of armed robbery and three counts of false imprisonment.

Authorities say detectives will be showing line-up pictures to victims, trying to zero in on that third person Wednesday.
