GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A Gwinnett County judge sentenced a teenager convicted in the death of a pizza delivery driver to life in prison on Thursday.

Reginald Lofton, 15, will spend at least the next 30 years in prison, but the judge told him if he had his way, it would be a lot longer.

"I wish I could give you more time than I can because you're a cold-blooded killer," the judge said to Reginald Lofton." Lofton, who was 14 when he robbed and shot Shane Vaadore as Vaadore delivered a pizza to an apartment complex in Lawrenceville in March, was convicted on felony murder charges, but acquitted on malice murder charges.

During the trial, Lofton's lawyer said his accomplice, 21-year-old Jermaine Young, pulled the trigger. Young has yet to face trial.

Jermaine Young, 21, and Lofton, who was originally not identified because he is a juvenile, were taken into custody in March and charged with felony murder when the shooting took place.

”Nothing’s going to bring my son back. I just hope the justice system prosecutes these two to the fullest extent of the law, said Vaadore's mother, Teresa Vaadore.

Police say the suspects robbed Vaadore, who'd worked as a Papa John's employee since 2011, and made off with a pizza which they later ate. They were unsure whether any cash was taken.
